We counsel clients on alternative structures for any proposed transaction so as to minimize closing costs, federal or state income taxes, including Section 1031 exchanges. In addition, we assist in obtaining any necessary consents or approvals required for a particular transaction from third parties, including state or local governmental authorities and provide advice on any federal, state or local governmental reporting/disclosure requirements that may be necessary.
Real Estate Finance
Whether you are acquiring or refinancing commercial real estate, we have experience negotiating CMBS, agency, mezzanine, and banking loans, even in the face of complex ownership or lender structures.
We also canhelp find practical and efficient solutions for distressed commercial real estate challenges via loan renegotiations, lease restructurings, foreclosure and receivership defense, and deeds-in-lieu negotiations. We also have assisted real estate investors with short sale acquisitions and the purchase of REO from institutional lenders.
